Ce livre est publié à l'occasion de l'exposition Brussels Touch. Free spirit of fashion, qui s'est tenue au Musée Mode & Dentelle de Bruxelles, du 27/08/2021 au 15/05/2022. La mode belge est trop souvent associée exclusivement à Anvers et au célèbre groupe des "Six d'Anvers". Cet ouvrage cherche à remettre Bruxelles sur la carte du monde de la mode : il met en avant l'influence majeure de La Cambre, montre comment la capitale a su développer une identité bien à elle, et dresse le portrait de ses principaux acteurs.
This book is published on the occasion of the exhibition Brussels Touch. Free spirit of fashion, which was held at the Fashion & Lace Museum in Brussels from 27/08/2021 to 15/05/2022. Belgian fashion is too often associated exclusively with Antwerp and the famous 'Antwerp Six'. This book seeks to put Brussels back on the map of the fashion world: it highlights the major influence of La Cambre, shows how the capital has been able to develop an identity of its own, and profiles its main players. |
