This research explores the increasing integration of digital technologies in fashion, challenging traditional concepts of materiality derived from the physical history of fashion. Using the theory of agential realism, it proposes a new material ontology focused on the conception of resolutions (material states) rather than physical objects. This approach emphasizes the performative interactions of body, fabric and space in digital phenomena, transforming the role of technology from mere tool to component of the designed phenomenon. It opens up new perspectives for rethinking experience, engagement and communication in digital fashion.
Cette recherche explore l'intégration croissante des technologies numériques dans la mode, remettant en question les concepts traditionnels de matérialité issus de l’histoire physique de la mode. En utilisant la théorie du réalisme agential, elle propose une nouvelle ontologie matérielle axée sur la conception de résolutions (états matériels) plutôt que d'objets physiques. Cette approche met l'accent sur les interactions performatives du corps, du tissu et de l'espace dans des phénomènes numériques, transformant ainsi le rôle de la technologie, de simple outil à composant du phénomène conçu. Elle ouvre de nouvelles perspectives pour repenser l'expérience, l'engagement et la communication dans la mode numérique. |
