Catalogue de l'exposition Alive in the Face of Death qui s'est déroulée du 17 mai au 15 septembre 2013 à la Walker Art Gallery à Liverpool. Le photographe Rankin a entrepris d'explorer et de remettre en question notre perception de la mort. À travers son objectif, il révèle les histoires de personnes touchées par la mort. Parmi elles, on trouve des personnes atteintes d'une maladie en phase terminale, celles qui ont frôlé la mort et survécu, et celles qui travaillent dans le secteur funéraire.
Catalogue of the exhibition Alive in the Face of Death, which ran from 17 May to 15 September 2013 at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Photographer Rankin set out to explore and challenge our perception of death. Through his lens, the stories of those touched by death are revealed. They included people living with a terminal illness, those who have faced death and survived, and those who work within the death industry. |
