Il explore la carrière multidimensionnelle de Leigh Bowery, artiste, performer, modèle, créateur de mode et musicien, célèbre pour son utilisation du corps et du costume comme moyens de transformation et de subversion. Il rassemble plus de 200 images, allant de la photographie de mode aux polaroïds de club, ainsi que des peintures de Lucian Freud et des œuvres créées autour de Bowery. Il présente également un inventaire inédit de ses costumes, nouvellement photographiés pour la première fois.

It explores the multidimensional career of Leigh Bowery, artist, performer, model, fashion designer, and musician, famous for his use of the body and costume as means of transformation and subversion. It brings together more than 200 images, ranging from fashion photography to club Polaroids, as well as paintings by Lucian Freud and works created around Bowery. It also presents an unprecedented inventory of his costumes, newly photographed for the first time. |
