Catalogue de l'exposition collective consacrée à l'Afrique du Sud qui s'est déroulé à la Fondation Louis Vuitton du 26 au 28 août 2017. Le catalogue compile les œuvres de figures de référence de l'art sud-africain comme Jane Alexander, David Goldblatt, William Kentridge, David Koloane et Sue Williamson aux côtés du travail d'une nouvelle génération d'artistes dont les œuvres sont symptomatiques de nouveaux enjeux comme le sens de la démocratie, les discriminations économiques et sociales et les revendications identitaires plus de vingt ans après la fin de l'apartheid.
Catalogue of the group exhibition devoted to South Africa, held at the Louis Vuitton Foundation from 26 to 28 August 2017. The catalogue brings together works by leading figures in South African art, such as Jane Alexander, David Goldblatt, William Kentridge, David Koloane and Sue Williamson, alongside the work of a new generation of artists whose works are symptomatic of new issues such as the meaning of democracy, economic and social discrimination, and identity claims more than twenty years after the end of apartheid. |
