Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name, held at the FOMU in Antwerp from 28 September 2024 to 2 February 2025. It analyses the interaction between fashion, mass media and Cindy Sherman's photographic work, exploring the American artist's collaborations with magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar and with renowned designers. Spanning nearly five decades of creation, the book highlights the links between her personal works and her commissions for the fashion industry. The images, often provocative and far removed from the glamour of the fashion world, question the standards of beauty and representations of the body in contemporary visual culture.
