This book explores Antwerp fashion as a critical laboratory for masculinities, from the avant-garde of the 1980s to contemporary practices. It analyses how iconic and emerging designers subvert the codes of menswear, the body and male sexuality. Drawing on case studies, archives and interviews, it highlights a queer aesthetic that challenges dominant norms. The book offers a theoretical examination of the cultural transformations of masculinity through fashion.
Cet ouvrage explore la mode anversoise comme un laboratoire critique des masculinités, de l’avant-garde des années 1980 aux pratiques contemporaines.
