Résumé : | Belgian fashion is often associated with Antwerp Six and Martin Margiela. However Belgian fashion should not be strictly limited in people’s mind to those seven designers. More than 30 years later, it is time to recognize the emergence of new Belgian designers and consider the contemporaneity of Belgian fashion. The idea of the subject is therefore to assess how Belgian fashion has evolved since the establishment of Antwerp as a notable location for Belgian fashion design and how Belgian fashion can be further exploited to gain a stronger international recognition. |
